QOTD: Those are Elevator Music Thoughts

Not worthy of your attention, ever.

Hm. How come you give those ridiculous thoughts so much attention? You’d swear they were facts.

Hear me, hear me!

Your thoughts are bullshit.

Thoughts and ideas are two different things. Thoughts are constant and most of the time, they have no value. Thoughts are prescribed their value by YOU. What the hell does that mean? It means that you choose which thoughts are worthy of your attention and which ones are not.

Look at this example.

Three thoughts with the same value—NONE.

Thought 1: Kids believe in the tooth fairy.

Thought 2: I’m having chicken for dinner.

Thought 3: I suck and nobody likes me.

So, how come we focus on thought numero tres?

This week, let’s get a hold of ourselves and not take the negative thoughts so damn seriously. Let’s, instead, treat the negative thoughts just like the other ones—like background noise and take our emotional health seriously.
